Egregi colleghi, mi oppongo a questa risoluzione non perchè io prenda posizione e decida chi sono i cattivi e chi i buoni ma guardo a questa guerra più dal punto di vista di un cittadino americano e credo che risoluzioni come questa ci provochino davvero molti danni.

Per molti versi, per ciò che sta succedendo in Medio Oriente e in particolare a Gaza in questo momento abbiamo molte responsabilità su entrambe le parti, in un certo senso, perchè abbiamo fornito aiuti e finanziamenti sia alle nazioni arabe che a Israele quindi abbiamo decisamente una responsabilità morale, soprattutto oggi che le armi vengono usate per uccidere così tanti palestinesi.
Le nostre armi americane, Americans and our funding is used primarily for that.

But there is a political responsibility that I think we were not able to recognize
because too often there is so much affected by our actions in areas where we should not be involved.

You know, Hamas ... if you look at history we find that Hamas was encouraged, and in fact created by Israel because they wanted Hamas to Yasser Arafat contrapponesse!

We want free elections!

So we encouraged the Palestinians to make free elections, and have made and they elected Hamas!


So before you (directly and indirectly through Israel) have favored the emergence of Hamas, then we had elections, and then Hamas has become dominant, and then we kill them!

Non è nell'interesse degli Stati Uniti !

E non è neanche nell'interesse di Israele!
